This Sunday there is another exciting Ginkgo show! This one is the full band debut of the Rebel Kind, which is our friend Autumn Wetli's band. We are longtime fans of Autumn's songs (Autumn is also a member of Bad Indians and the 7" we put out features an awesome song written by her). So it's a joy to be playing with her! The band features Autumn on guitar & vocals, myself (Shelley) on bass, Amber Fellows on drums and Jules Nehring (also of Bad Indians etc) on electric guitar.
This show is our live debut, and we will also be playing at Totally Awesome Fest 9 on Friday April 26 at VG Kids in Ypsilanti.
Additionally, the Rebel Kind has an LP coming out on the Life Like! And so does Shells! Our records should be done around the same time so stay tuned for record release details. We were hoping they might be done by the Life Like Festival this week but of course these things always take longer than expected. But also we are still both playing at the Life Like Festival which is going to be great, so make sure to come to that this Friday April 12 at the Elks Lodge! (see a couple posts down for details!)
